Mordecai & Me: An Appreciation of a Kind by Montreal writer and critic Joel Yanofsky is a personal, humorous, and searching study of celebrated Canadian novelist Mordecai Richler. Written as a self-described unauthorized biography, it follows Yanofsky's attempt to understand his complicated admiration for Richler while exploring their shared literary profession, Montreal setting, and Jewish cultural background.

The book received the Quebec Writers' Federation's 2004 Mavis Gallant Prize for Non-Fiction and a 2004 Canadian Jewish Book Award in biography and memoir.
