A signed first edition, first printing of Aunt Dimity's Death by Nancy Atherton, published by Viking in 1992. This hardcover includes its illustrated dust jacket and has the complete 10-to-1 number line identifying the first printing.

Atherton has signed and dated the title page in blue ink, adding the inscription “Best wishes from me 'n' Reg” and her custom pink Reg rabbit stamp. The inscription is dated December 16, 1992. Reg, the pink stuffed rabbit associated with the series, makes this author-added stamp an especially fitting feature.

This was Atherton's debut novel and the opening volume of the Aunt Dimity mystery series. Blending cozy mystery, romance, and a gentle supernatural element, it introduces Lori Shepherd and the benevolent spirit whose unresolved past leads Lori to an English cottage and a mystery rooted in the Second World War. The novel was selected as one of the Independent Mystery Booksellers Association's 100 favorite mysteries of the 20th century and was nominated for a Macavity Award for Best First Mystery.
