Kelly: At Home on Third by Kevin Boland and Kelly Gruber, published by Viking/Penguin Books Canada in 1991. This is the first edition and first printing, confirmed by the “First published 1991” statement and complete 10-to-1 number line on the copyright page. Hardcover with the original illustrated dust jacket.

This autobiographical baseball book follows Gruber’s journey from Texas to his career at third base with the Toronto Blue Jays. It is an appealing piece of Canadian baseball and Blue Jays memorabilia from the height of Gruber’s popularity.

The copy is personally inscribed “To Marty – All the best!” and signed “Kelly Gruber #17” on an interior page. This is an actual handwritten signature by Gruber; the signatures reproduced as part of the front-jacket artwork are decorative facsimiles.

The rear dust jacket has a prominent jagged tear along its lower right edge, with associated creasing and apparent paper loss. The jacket also shows light edge and corner wear. Please review the photographs closely for the placement and extent of the damage.
