Author profile

Tony Parsons

Tony Parsons (born 1933) is a writer and speaker associated with non-duality. Authority data identifies him as an English-language spiritual teacher whose field of work is philosophy of spirit. His official website presents his work as talks and discussions concerning Advaita Vedanta and non-dualism, focused on the idea that reality is non-dual and impersonal rather than a progressive path towards spiritual attainment.

His books develop this position through short texts, essays, and transcribed dialogues. The Open Secret, first published in 1995 and revised in 2011, sets out his account of liberation as beyond effort, process, or belief. Later volumes include All There Is, a collection of dialogues from meetings in the United Kingdom, Europe, and the United States; Nothing Being Everything, drawn from dialogues in the United Kingdom and Europe; and This Freedom, which combines essays with dialogues.

Parsons’s official site states that he has worked in the United Kingdom and internationally, and that his books have appeared in many countries. It also maintains material from his talks and interviews, documenting the continued circulation of his non-dual approach. No award or honour has been confirmed in the reviewed authoritative sources.
