Nazanin Afshin-Jam

Nazanin Afshin-Jam MacKay is a prominent Iranian-Canadian human rights advocate, public speaker, singer-songwriter, and author who has masterfully leveraged her international media platforms to combat institutional violence against women and juvenile executions. Born in Tehran in 1979 at the height of the Islamic Revolution, her family fled to Canada after her father was arrested and tortured by the regime.
