Kendare Blake (born July 1981) is a #1 New York Times bestselling contemporary American young adult novelist whose atmospheric, highly suspenseful storytelling deftly spans dark fantasy, gory horror, and mythology-infused fiction. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she was adopted in infancy by American parents and raised in Cambridge, Minnesota, later earning a bachelor's degree in business from Ithaca College and a Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Middlesex University in London.
