Gordon Pitts is an acclaimed Canadian author, public speaker, and investigative business journalist who spent nearly forty years chronicling corporate power, leadership, and regional economic history for Canada's daily newspapers. Echo Storytelling Agency Born and raised in Madoc, Ontario Word on the Hills, he worked as a high school teacher before shifting to journalism Word on the Hills, eventually serving for decades as a prominent senior writer and editor for The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business. He is highly celebrated for translating intricate corporate data into captivating human narratives, writing nine standalone books focused on Canadian business Echo Storytelling Agency. Pitts won national acclaim for his 2014 biography, Fire in the Belly: How Purdy Crawford Rescued Canada, and Changed the Way We Do Business. The book documents the life of corporate titan Purdy Crawford Nimbus Publishing, a coal miner's son who rose to save Canada's commercial paper market from a massive 2007 structural collapse Indigo; it won the Dartmouth Book Award for Non-Fiction and was a finalist for the National Business Book Award Nimbus Publishing.
